This Book Tag is all about my reading habits.
Whether that’s reading in a specific place or being a dog-ear person more than a bookmark lover, you’ll find all about my reading habits below!

Q1: Do you have a certain place at home for reading?
Up until very recently, I read all over the house. In the bath, on the sofa, in my bed and outside on our sun lounger.
Yet recently, I found an unused chair in my house and created a little reading nook for myself at the end of my bed. This is now where I do most of my reading, Bookstagramming and writing.

Q2: Bookmark or Dog-Ear?
I have only just been converted to a being a bookmark lover. I’m not going to lie, up until the start of the year I didn’t own a bookmark (gasp).
Yet I found some really beautiful ones on Etsy, so I have now seen the error in my ways you’ll be glad to know.

Q3: Can you stop in the middle of a chapter or does it have to be at the end of a chapter?
I have to finish a chapter before I can put the book down and carry on with my life. That being said, whenever I’m on a bus or train and I need to get off before the end of the chapter, I get an immediate sense of panic. I just don’t like it and I can’t do it.
Just say a little prayer for me when I’m reading a book that doesn’t have any chapters…

Q4: Do you eat or drink whilst reading?
Yes. I love having a brew whilst reading. There’s often biscuit and chocolate crumbs on the pages of my books too. Its a disgusting habit I have, please forgive me!
That being said, I find it difficult to read whilst eating proper meals and don’t tend to do it that often. I can spare 30 mins of not reading to eat my lunch and dinner. Food takes priority (obviously).

Q5: Do you listen to music or watch TV whilst reading?
I used to be able to watch TV and listen to music whilst reading but now I find it really difficult to concentrate.
Depending what is on TV, I can normally carry on reading. For example, if my Dad is watching Car SOS for the 50th time that week, I will normally need to a book in my hands to keep my sanity.

Q6: Do you read one book at a time or multiple?
Honestly, credit to those who have more than one book on the go. I just can’t do it. I was discussing this with a friend the other day and I made the connection between me liking to have one task completed before moving on to the next.
I suppose that’s why I can only read one at a time. How I got through uni, I’ll never know. (Actually I do know, lots and lots of skim reading…)

Q7: Do you read at home or anywhere?
I will literally read ANYWHERE. Commuting, sitting having my lunch at work, at my boyfriend’s house. You name it, I’ve probably read there.
I’m not picky where I read as long as I can fit in a few minutes in here and there. Normally with my busy work schedule and tiring commute, on the bus is where I can fit in most of my reading.

Q8: Do you read aloud or inside your head?
Always in my head. Normally my brain will create it’s own voices for different characters which is very helpful of it.
I find it hard to read aloud and I normally end up getting the words wrong whilst my voice is trying to keep up with my brain.
So there we have it, now you know all about my reading habits. Can you relate to any of the above or are you completely different? Let me know all about your reading habits too!
